Placements

While decluttering her home studio, Kim rediscovered materials waiting to find the light of day in a new way. A feeling of 'what you seek is seeking you' resulted in the playful rearranging of three good things: old prints, gathered objects, and the light cast when they were brought together, as simple metaphors for the feelings of visited places. The new placements, like favourite things in a freshly painted room, say what they need to say about the wonder of the small, the play of shadows, and moments of peacefully recollected tranquility.
