Sheep Fields

​On daily walks, Kim watched familiar patterns of sheep in the surrounding fields. Remembering her old farming life, it made her smile to recognise why sheep are where they are and what they are up to – spread out casually feeding, huddled along walls in bad weather, bunched in a gather by a collie, crowded in pens, or single file on a trod. Finding many small white pebbles in the gravel around her house, Kim playfully arranged them on background images to recall these activities. She drew accompanying black and white drawings of the related tools, fences, walls, grass and signs. The result became Sheep Fields.
